Winchester Farmers Market on Main
Guidelines and Rules.
We are located at 111 Main Street, Winchester, NH in the gazebo area next to the Conant Public Library from June thru October and Indoors in Winchester Town Hall, 1 Richmond Road, November thru May.
Hours of Operation
Saturdays from 10AM to 2PM. (Weather permitting and closing time may be changed at any time.)
Vendors are to be set up and ready to sell at least 15 minutes prior to opening.
Membership Fees Full Time Vendors
Pricing for the 6 month season is $100 to be paid to The R.E.D. Committee of Winchester, prior to the first market day of the season. Vendors will be responsible for the collection and removal of all refuse generated from sales at their space.
Guest Vendors will pay $10/day and the fee will be deducted off of their seasonal membership should they decide to join afterwards. A guest vendor is defined as vendors who attend 3 events or less seasonally.
Vendor Eligibility & Applications
The Winchester Farmers Market on Main is open to all growers, farmers, bakers, makers of prepared food, artisans and crafters (hereafter, “the vendors”) who live or work in Cheshire County and surrounding areas. Out of state vendors are welcome.
The Winchester Farmers Market on Main reserves the right to deny a vendor at any time.
Vendors must fill out a Vendor Application and be approved. The application period is for one season only and must reapply prior to the beginning of each season. Applications must be received by May 1st to participate in the upcoming season.
Guest Vendors are also required to fill out an application.
All vendors from the previous year will have the option of paying the $100 annual fee at the start of the season or to defer payment until a later date, as long as payment is received before the 1st of June.
Site location will be on a first come-first served basis. Vendors will provide their own table and canopy
Vendors table or booth shall be no larger than 12’ x 12’. All equipment should be in good condition. At no time shall the safety or convenience of customers or vendors be compromised by any vendor’s display. All umbrellas, tents and canopies must be adequately weighted down.
All products are subject to the Market Managers discretion.
All food vendors shall display prominently a sign which lists the ingredients of their products and the source of origin of those ingredients.
All food vendors must meet health regulations for the State of New Hampshire and certificates of kitchen approval from appropriate departments of health.
Certificates must be presented during vendor application process.
Pricing, Licenses and Permits
All items for sale shall be clearly labeled and priced and are encouraged to post their farm’s (or facility’s) name and location.
Vendors must visibly display any licenses, certifications, and permits required by law for all products.
All scales shall be inspected with the state seal prior to being used for vending.
Each vendor must abide by all state and federal regulations that govern the production, harvest, preparation, preservation, labeling, or safety of products offered for sale at the Market. Vendors are liable for their own products.
Insurance & Taxes
Vendors are responsible for liability insurance for themselves and their products. WFMM is not responsible for collection of any or all related taxes and any liability insurance for any individual vendor.
Vendors should be set-up and ready to sell by the opening time of 10am, should strive to remain until 2pm and leave their spaces clean and remove their displays and trucks by 3 p.m.
Vendors will park in the public lot located behind the Town Hall. Vendors can park temporarily street side as they set up their tables/displays but no longer than 15 minutes.
Behavior by vendors or customers judged to be disruptive or detrimental to the peaceful operation of the Market will not be allowed.
Any unsafe or unsanitary conditions should be brought to the immediate attention of the Market Manager.

Any vendors who have food goods and fresh produce left over at the end of the day may donate some, or all of their goods to the St. Vincent DePaul Food Pantry. Please let the Market Manager know prior to arrival so arrangements can be made to deliver the leftover food. Please note: the food pantry cannot take pre-cooked left over food unless professionally packaged.
